This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Balough Law Offices, LLC website and how we use it. By visiting the site, viewing the content, or downloading our materials, we may collect, use, and disclose your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Types of Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways. First, we collect information you voluntarily supply to us, primarily when you use our “Contact Us” feature. Second, we collect information that is automatically gathered when you visit and move around our site.

  • Information You Provide to Us. If you use our Contact Us feature, you provide and we collect your name, address, email address, phone number, and any other information you include on the form.
  • Information Automatically Provided. We collect and store information that is generated automatically as you use our site. This information may include:

  • Sites you visited before and after our site

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information regarding the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year. You may make one request each year by emailing us at privacy@balough.com. 

Use of Information

We may use the information collected to perform market research to understand the interests and preferences of our users; provide enhancements and improvements to our site; respond to your requests; measure and analyze traffic; help recognize you as a previous visitor; prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities; and comply with applicable law.

Disclosure of Your Information

Balough Law Offices will not disclose an individual’s personal information to third parties except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, when we have the individual’s permission to make the disclosure, or to fulfill the purpose for which the information was collected. We will never sell your information with other organizations for marketing purposes. We may use third party service providers to provide administrative or operational support—such as website hosting, website activity analysis, and information technology management—and we may disclose and transfer personal information to such service providers. This transfer may result in your personal information being transferred to and from the United States of America and possibly to other countries outside the European Economic Area. Do Not Track Signals

Because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Security of Your Information

When Balough Law Offices collects and stores your personally identifiable information as outlined above, it is stored through a cloud service. You acknowledge that, even with reasonable security measures in place, third parties might unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. It is also important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your computer, secure your password, and sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

General Data Protection Regulation

If you are from the European Economic Area, you may be a “data subject” and the following may be applicable to you. To the extent the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) regarding the processing of your personal data (“Personal Data”) applies to us, under certain circumstances we may be considered a “data controller.” Personal Data includes your name, address, email address, telephone number, credit card information, health concerns, yoga preferences, and geolocation, some of which we may collect and process and some of which may be collected and processed by third-party service providers. These third-party service providers may be considered “data controllers” in their own right, and you should review their privacy policies. We process your Personal Data only as necessary to offer and provide Services to you. Our legal basis for processing includes:

  • Providing you with information about Services we offer.
  • Coordinating our yoga retreats.
  • Complying with legal requirements.
  • Managing and improving our Site and our relationship with you.

We will retain your Personal Data only for so long as reasonably necessary to meet the purposes of this Privacy Policy. We also retain your Personal Data for the time necessary to meet legal requirements and any applicable statute of limitations. Because we are in the United States, your Personal Data for which we may be considered the data controller will be transferred to the United States. 

Depending upon the laws applicable to you, the following rights may apply:

  • You have the right to object to our processing your Personal Data and, upon receiving such notice, we will stop processing your data, which may mean we cannot provide our content to you. 
  • You may restrict our processing your Personal Data.
  • You may ask to update your Personal Data on a going-forward basis.
  • You may request a copy of your Personal Data that we have stored and maintained.
  • You may request that your Personal Data be deleted, but some Personal Data may not be deleted for legitimate legal reasons.
  • You may request that your Personal Data be transferred to another party.

If you ask to exercise any of the above rights, you must send the request to the website manager at privacy@balough.com. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Children

This site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information of children under the age of 13. If you are aware that we have collected any information on a child under the age of 13, please advise us immediately.

Changes to Privacy Policy

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on our site. The “Last Updated” notation indicates when the policy was last changed and became effective. Your continued use of the site after we post a change indicates that you accept the Privacy Policy as modified.
